Anyone who knows me would probably roll their eyes rather than just read this short article. But to be honest, I actually did not know a couple of the things stated here, so I think that it's worth your time. If you're looking to kick your soda habit, or looking to persuade a friend to do so, please read this!

How the times have changed...
Some of these changes I've witnessed through my life, others no. However, they never cease to amaze me... funny, but pretty depressing as well.

I barely even have words for this. What the fuck happened on this planet to make ANYBODY think that this was acceptable behavior?

There's a reason why Seattle doesn't like snow!
While I have never had the misfortune of driving through a snowstorm in the Pacific Northwest, I have seen the many horrors brought on by the seemingly-innocent white stuff. Art Thiel does a fantastic job of illustrating these for you. Read on, and shut up!

Misha, soupy as... ever?
What I love about this man is the fact that his outlandishness never ceases to make me laugh. It just doesn't get old.

Miss Representation, a movie actually worth watching
Cuba, China, Iraq and Afganistan have more women in government than the United States does.
Think about that.

Unless you're Tom Cruise, being an actor is a rough job
http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/2010/02/guys-are-not-going-to-want-to-fk-her.html
This amazed me. I can certainly imagine that there are far more actors out there than there are roles to hand out. But still! What is with all these committees, and all of these non-creative people making the decisions? And being turned down because the prez wants Mr. Popular instead? It's like effin' high school all over again, man.

A different kind of support for those who are suicidal
Most of us are familiar with organizations to comfort people who feel hopelessly lost-- all you have to do is dial a number, and you'll have someone to talk to. Unfortunately, 30% of people who call one of these numbers hang up when they hear a voice on the other end of the line.
This site takes a different approach, following today's trends in communication. Instead of calling a phone number, you chat online with someone who can help. It's a far easier way to connect with somebody when you feel as though you're on a one-way street.
Good luck! <3

Gay parents are not bad parents
The title of this article is stretching it a bit by saying that gay parents are the best, but well... that's Yahoo for ya. That aside, I found this a fascinating read.

Cat-people remain single?!
NOOOO!!! Oh, what a horrible notion.
Although, to be completely honest, my cats are my best friends, so I'll live.

What is the best show on The CW?
Oh hey, another online poll about TV shows!
You know what I'm gonna say... don't vote unless you plan to vote for Supernatural. ;)

Don't keep your dog outside!
http://www.vetstreet.com/our-pet-experts/why-outdoor-dogs-are-miserable
I come from a town of dog owners, so I can tell you that I've seen or at least heard of all of this behavior. It also applies to dogs who are left indoors all day while the entire family is away. What's the point of having a dog if every human in the house is always at school or work? They just get lonely and sad.
Think about the animal because deciding to fulfill some vague whim of getting a pet.

Dean goes nom nom nom
I actually find the entire "om nom nom" spectacle to be kind of dumb and very annoying, but this is pretty cute.
